RINGMER FOOTBALL CLUB LTD
2007 - 2008 Season
What is the News Blog? Holding there own for the rest of the 1st half they came back with a vengeance in the second and kept Town under pressure for a full 30 mins with constant attacks from the off. Captain Nick Barden pulled a goal back after only 5 mins but despite many good chances and with the visitors keeper on form, it became increasingly apparent that this was not Ringmer's day for netting balls. Ultimately the gamble had to get bigger with the Blues, so an all out assault in the last fifteen left the defence a little bare, whom had been cleaning up quite succesfully any attempts by Chatham throughout, but inevitable with any gamble there are risks and it was then that Town broke through and extended their lead. REPORT - 15/09/07-Division 1 - Ringmer 1 - Worthing Utd 0
Atrocious, the only word for the visitors game plan, Ringmer tried to play the game of football but yet again the play was marred by tactics that were more akin in the wrestling ring. Worthing Utd constantly blocked and fowled there way through the match, consequently neither side had many chances on goal. Mark Price eventually guided the ball into the net for Ringmer but Dan Evans had his spot kick saved, Utd finished with only eight left on the pitch, say's it all i'm afraid.
