The 2nd XI’s euphoria of winning this quarter final round was understandably short lived as news came through from the First Team that their team mate Herve King had tragically collapsed and died during their home game fixture against Three Bridges.
Out of respect for Herve’s family and all those close to him, I will refrain from waxing lyrical about the Reserve’s performance this afternoon. Suffice it to say that is was another exhibition of great football from a young team full of hope and promise that are a credit to Ringmer Football Club.
