Report the Crouch's

Ringmer piled on the pressure from the start with a concerted effort not to conceed a goal in the first 10 minutes as of the previous two matches. The first fifteen belonged to the Blues as they went straight on the attack. An early shot from Joe Dryer went just over the bar with Jo Tubon and Aaron Philips having early chances. Pagham's first real chance came after 18 minutes with an end shot that skied over the Ringmer goal. Ringmer kept up the pressure with good attacking football as did Pagham, consequently a lot of the play was in the middle third with neither side really testing either keeper. A goal did finally come for the Blues in the 35th minute after Jo Tubon picked up on a bad Pagham pass across the centre field, Tubon beat the on rushing keeper, Wes Hallett, and two defenders to slip the ball into an empty net.

The second half and the Blues start the brighter, again an early shot this time from Glen Matten flew over the visitors bar then Dryer had a half chance minutes later. Pagham then started to pressure the Blues side, attacking with the long ball down field and causing the Blues defence some concern. The play swung from end to end but again neither keeper were really tested. With Pagham's constant charges the Blues found themselves defending hard in numbers, consequentlely the Blues found it difficult to get bodies up quick enough on the counter attack, with both wingers outrunning the strike force, so ending each attack without gain.. Pagham's urgency grew as full time approached. Their persistence paid off in the 85th minute after they finally got the better of the Blues defence. Pagham's Brett Forden knocked one into the top right hand corner of Blues net to equalize the final score at 1-1.

Joint-boss Bob Munnery said: "I am quite disappointed with the performance but not with the point considering we had several players missing and only had two substitutes."
