C'MON LET'S GET SOME BANTER GOING
We have had some good banter over the years on our forum but of late this season nobody but two has anything to say. There is a very good entry from a Binfield Supporter talking about the Night Ringmer visited their club for the FA Vase replay.
Let's have that banter back again, we all have our opinions on our game, so let's get the conversations going again. Have a moan if you wish you will feel better, give praise to the players when they get something right. We want to know what you think! come on get the banter back.

TWO WINS BRIGHTENS RINGMER'S DAY
WORTHING UNITED 1-6 RINGMER - BRIGHTON CHARITY CUP 2
After two football free weeks due to the cold spell the league got back to business with our first team travelling down to Worthing United to take them on in the 2nd round in the Brighton Charity Cup. This match proved to be a good induction for the new look team with new signings Gavin Gordon signed from Redhill and Matt Curuthers from St Francis Rangers, also on the bench was new signing Seb Saunders from Seaford Town.
The weather was far from perfect with gusting winds and a lot of rain but everybody players and supporters alike were gald of a game. Worthing were first to show with Ringmer keeper Dan Goodchild racing out to smother the ball from a United striker. It was not long though before Ringmer showed it's potential as Joe Dryer crossed in for Ryan MacMillan to head just wide. Then on 14mins, Mark Whiteman shot in for the opening goal after receiving the ball from Gavin Gordon, six minutes later Whiteman claimed a second just clipping the ball into the Worthing net from a Nick Wheeler corner. Ringmer kept up the pressure with Mark Price and Glen Matten with the aid of Matt Curuthers and Scott Marshall cleaning up anything United could muster. Ringmer looked destined to get a third goal but everyone was surprised by it's coming on 33 mins, Nick wheeler took a 22yard free kick that went low and unhindered through the standing pack of defenders and into the net off of the far post. Ringmer's play continued with fine work from Gordon, Whiteman Dryer, Wheeler and Brad Curtis, despite the awful conditions. The half ended 3-0 to Ringmer.
The second half Worthing came out the brighter and pressured the visitors in their own half for the first 10 minutes. Manager Sammy Donnelly had made two changes at half time with Tom Lyons swapping with Whiteman and Ryan MacMillan, who had injured his neck, being replaced by Aaron Phillips. It was then Phillips who headed off the line after uniteds first on target shot of the match on 7 minutes.
It was not long though before Ringmer settled and took hold of the play, Wheeler and Dryer making constant battling runs down the wings. Wheeler having a shot palmed away by keeper Callum Christie who did well to save a Gordon Shot after good play from Phillips and Lyons. Lyons then had his shot kicked off the line a few minutes later. Dryer then scored from close range from a Wheeler corner on 66 minutes. Then just 8 minutes
later, a great run by Wheeler on the right evading defenders with a neat step over move, finally blasting it into the net from twenty yards for his second and Ringmer's forth. Seb Saunders had to get wet in the last 15 coming on for Curtis.
Worthing had a chance from a corner late on, giving the keeper Goodchild to make a good save in the 80th minute however Dryer took another run down the left and centered the ball where after a few attempt Wheeker finally found the net for Ringmer's 6th and his hat trick. Worthing then dug deep and carried on their attack finally getting a consolationsigning'sgladUnited'sWheeler goal in the last seconds of the match.
